Fears for schoolgirl last seen leaving taxi as police say ‘call 999 if you see her’
Fears are growing over a 17-year-old schoolgirl who went missing after leaving a taxi.
Police say they are ‘deeply concerned’ for Thi Khanh Ly Duong, known as Ly, and are urging the public to ‘call 999 if you see her’.
The teen, who is from Vietnam but whose guardians live in Birmingham, vanished from her boarding school five days ago and was last seen on Saturday, May 1.
Police believe she left Asda on Avon Road, Cannock, Staffordshire, just before 6.30pm on Saturday afternoon and was picked up by a taxi outside the store at around 6.45pm, Birmingham Live reports.
She was later dropped off in Holly Road, near to Grove Lane in Handsworth, Birmingham, but has not been seen or heard from since.
Staff at her boarding school in Staffordshire raised the alarm after Ly failed to return on Saturday evening, Mail Online reports.
Ly is 5ft tall and slim with long black hair and was last seen wearing light jeans and a light coloured hoody with a black jacket over the top, Nike flip flops and a large black handbag.
